- The Eklavya Model Residential School Lateral Entry Test (EMRSLT) is conducted in offline (pen-and-paper) mode for admission to Classes VII–IX. The exam is of 3 hours duration and consists of 100 questions carrying 200 marks, covering English (10 questions, 20 marks), Hindi/Regional Language (10 questions, 20 marks), Mathematics (30 questions, 60 marks), Science (30 questions, 60 marks), and Social Science (20 questions, 40 marks). The questions are based on the NCERT/SCERT syllabus of the preceding class, and the test is conducted in English, Hindi, Regional Language, or bilingual mode, depending on the State/UT.
