"Educational Qualification: • Must have passed Class 12 (10+2) with Physics, Mathematics and one of Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science. ✔ Minimum Marks: • General category: ~45% aggregate in the above three subjects together. • Reserved categories: ~40% aggregate (SC/ST/OBC). ✔ English: Minimum ~30% in Class 12 English is generally required. ✔ Age: Candidate should be at least 17 years old as of December 31 of the admission year. ✔ No strict upper age limit for most courses (except special cases like Marine Engineering)."

"The WBJEE is an offline (pen-and-paper, OMR-based) exam. ✔ It consists of two papers: • Paper I: Mathematics • Paper II: Physics & Chemistry (combined) ✔ Total time: 4 hours (2 hours per paper). ✔ Format: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from Class 11 & 12 level PCM syllabus. ✔ Medium: English and Bengali. ✔ There is negative marking for incorrect answers in some categories. ✔ Total questions usually ~155 for 200 marks."
