About The Scholarship

The scheme “Mukhyamantri Gyansetu Merit Scholarship Yojana” by the Education Department, Government of Gujarat aims to select 30,000 brilliant students who have completed their Class 5 education consecutively in government, aided, or RTE-approved schools and provide them with scholarships to study in selected government, aided, or private schools from Class 6th to Class 12th. The selection is done through a Common Entrance Test conducted by the State Examination Board, Gandhinagar.

Eligibility

Award

The applicant must be a resident of Gujarat
The applicant must have studied Classes 1st to 5th in a Government/ Government-aided/ RTE-approved self-financed primary school in Gujarat
The applicant must have passed the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the State Examination Board and be listed in the merit list
The applicant must have taken admission in Class 6th in a Government/ Government-aided/ RTE-approved self-financed primary school in Gujarat

Government Schools and Government -aided Schools (Approved by Education Department): For Class 6th to 8th: ₹5,000/- per year.For Class 9th to 10th: ₹6,000/- per year.For Class 11th to 12th: ₹7,000/- per year.
Private (Selected) Schools: For Class 6th to 8th: ₹20,000/- per year.For Class 9th to 10th: ₹22,000/- per year.For Class 11th to 12th: ₹25,000/- per year.
