About The Scholarship
NSP Pre-Matric Scholarship For SC Students Component II (Class 1 – 10), Assam 2025 is an initiative of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, to support pre-matric level education of SC students whose parent(s)/guardian(s) are engaged in manual scavenging, flaying, waste picking, or other hazardous health occupations.
NSP Pre-Matric Scholarship For SC Students Component II
Eligibility
Award
- Be an Indian national
- Be domiciled in Assam
- Be enrolled as a full-time student in Classes 1 to 10 in an institution recognised by a concerned State Government or Union Territory Administration
- Be a ward of a person engaged in manual scavenging, flaying, waste picking, and hazardous health occupation {as defined in Section 2(I) of the Manual Scavengers Act 2013}
- Day Scholar 3,500
- Hosteller 8,000 (For Class 3 to 10)

- A certificate from a District Social Welfare officer identified officer of the local body, civic agency, or any such authority designated by the State Government
