About The Scholarship
Post-Matric Scholarship for OBC Students, Assam is an opportunity to provide financial support to students in Class 11 and above. The scheme is being offered by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and implemented by the Directorate of Welfare of Plain Tribes & Backwards Classes (DWPTBC), Government of Assam. Under this scheme, selected candidates will receive scholarships up to ₹20,000 and other benefits.

Eligibility
Award
- Be an Indian national
- Be domiciled in Assam
- Belong to the Other Backwards Class (OBC) community
- Be studying in classes 11 or above in a recognised institution/college/university (as specified in the terms & conditions section below)
- Have passed matriculation or higher secondary or any higher level examination from a recognised University or Board of Secondary Education
- Have an annual parent(s)/guardian(s) income of not more than ₹2,50,000 from all sources
- Selected candidates will receive scholarships up to ₹20,000 and other benefits.

- A passport-size photograph of the student
- Academic transcripts, including certificates, diplomas, degrees, etc.
- A valid caste certificate duly signed by an authorised officer
- An income certificate, parent(s)/guardian(s) issued by the authority as decided by the state government
- A receipt in acknowledgement of the scholarship in the previous year (if applicable)
