About The Scholarship
Pre-Matric Scholarship for ST Students (Class 9 & 10), Assam 2023-24 is an initiative of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, to financially support ST children of the state who are studying in Class 9 and 10. This scholarship support aims to decrease dropouts of ST students, particularly during the transition from elementary to secondary education.

Eligibility
Award
- Be domiciled in Assam
- Belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) community of the state
- Be studying in Class 9 and 10 in a government school or a school recognised by the Government or a Central/State Board of Secondary Education
- Have an annual parent(s)/guardian(s) income of not more than ₹2,50,000
- The selected candidates will receive a monthly scholarship of up to ₹525 for 10 months and an ad-hoc grant of up to ₹1,000.
