About The Scholarship
The purpose of the Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities is to provide financial aid to meritorious students from economically weaker sections of minority communities. By doing so, the government aims to increase access to higher education and improve the employability of students from these communities
POST MATRIC SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR MINORITIES
Eligibility
Award
- Community: Be from one of the six notified minority communities: Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains, or Parsis
- Academics: Have secured at least 50% marks in their previous final examination
- Income: Have an annual family income from all sources of ₹2 lakh or less
- Enrollment: Be enrolled in a post-matric course, including Class 11, 12, undergraduate, postgraduate, technical, or professional programs in a government or private institution recognized by the government
- Family limit: Only two students from the same family are eligible for the scholarship
- Other scholarships: The applicant must not be receiving any other government scholarship for the same cours
- Up to ₹10,000
