Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for ST Students, Jammu and Kashmir 2025-26 is an initiative for ST students of the state pursuing higher studies after completing Class 10. Funded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs (Central Government) and implemented by the Social Welfare Department (Jammu and Kashmir Government)

Eligibility
Award
- Be an Indian national
- Be domiciled in Jammu and Kashmir
- Belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) community
- Be pursuing higher studies at the post-matric level from a recognised institution/university
- Have passed Class 10 from a recognised university or board of education
- Have an annual parent(s)/guardian(s) income of not more than ₹2,50,000 from all sources
- ₹1,200 and other benefits.
Required Documents
Mode of Apply
- A copy of passport-size photograph
- One attested copy of academic transcripts including certificate, diploma, degree, etc. in respect of all examinations passed
- A valid caste certificate duly signed by an authorised Revenue Officer (RO), not below the rank of Tehsildar
- An annual income declaration by the self-employed parent(s)/guardian(s)
- A receipt in acknowledgment of the scholarship in the previous year (if applicable)
