About The Scholarship

The Odisha Banishree Scholarship 2026 is offered through the Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department, Government of Odisha, for students with disabilities. The aim is to help students with special needs engage in their studies and receive vocational training to become self-sufficient and contributing members of society.

Eligibility

Award

  • Be a bonafide resident of Odishapossess a valid Unique Disability Identity (UDID) card
  • Be pursuing studies in the following
  • Primary school (Classes 1-5)
  • Middle & high school (Classes 6-12)
  • Undergraduate (+2 and +3
  • Postgraduate
  • Technical/ vocational/ professional training
  • Scholarship up to INR 15,000
