About The Scholarship

Grant of Additional Scholarship to OBC Students for Higher Studies, Andaman & Nicobar 2025-26 is an initiative of the Directorate of Social Welfare, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, aimed at providing financial assistance to OBC category students of the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar. The scheme is designed to support students who have completed Class 10 or 12 and are pursuing higher education.

Eligibility

Award

Be an Indian citizen and a domicile of Andaman and Nicobar Islands
Belong to the Other Backwards Class (OBC) category
Have passed Class 10 or 12 from a recognised Board of School Education
Be a full-time student pursuing higher studies in any government-recognised institution approved by AICTE/UGC or equivalent bodies anywhere in India.

Required Documents

Mode of Apply

Income certificate
One self-attested copy of each certificate for Class 10 or 12 diploma/degree
One passport-sized photograph of the student with their signature
Self-attested copy of caste certificate signed by an authorized revenue officer, not below the rank of Tehsildar
Non-creamy layer certificate (original and one self-attested copy) signed by an authorised revenue officer, not below the rank of Tehsildar
An income declaration by the parent(s)/guardian(s) on an affidavit on ₹10 non-judicial stamp paper stating substantial income from all sources.
For government employees, a copy of the pay slip attested by the concerned Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) can be submitted instead of an affidavit.
Copy of marks statement duly countersigned by the Head of the Institution
Self-attested copies of an Aadhaar card and the first page of the bank passbook
